Meet Finn
An explorer puffin who rides along with your kid all summer.
Remember when summer meant nothing but a bike and a bruised knee?
Give your kid one too.
A puffin, a secret map and fifteen quests to fill six weeks of summer holiday with something better than a screen.
Where shall we go first?
Ordinary days. Brilliant adventures.
Do you remember?
Your kid’s version looks different.
Dens in the garden. Hours that just disappeared. Nobody filming it, nobody needing it filmed.
Your kid is growing up in a louder summer, with more screens. And “go and play outside” doesn’t land the way it used to.
A box with a whole summer inside
A box arrives on the first day of the summer holidays. Open a quest whenever your kid wants an adventure, or you need a cuppa in peace.
An explorer puffin who rides along with your kid all summer.
A beautifully illustrated book opens the door to the adventure.
Fifteen screen-free prompts, ready whenever the moment feels right.
Every completed quest earns its place on the secret summer map.
A calming bedtime tale reveals what really happened on Finn’s adventure.
Their day, their pace
Finn leaves one intriguing invitation.
No screen, lesson plan or parent prep required.
A new memory gets its sticker and its place.
A human-read sleep story closes the adventure.
Why now, why Hugo and Finn
Hi, I’m Jools, Hugo’s mum. In the summer of 2026, I was juggling work and trying to give my five-year-old a summer of memories. As we talked through everything we’d done, it became a story about Finn: a puffin who loves socks, crash-lands, and carries a secret map.
Finn is half our summer and half a five-year-old’s imagination. It became too good to keep to ourselves.
Jools & Hugo ✦
“A kid who comes to find you with something to say, instead of a kid who needs you to entertain them.”
That’s the whole trade.
